Kerr's Department Store

The store was started in 1896 by a iterant drummer named Kerr, who sold Musingwear.

The store was incorporated in Feb. 1908 by L. C. Barnard and D. L. Pontius.

The store was closed and fixtures and furniture was auctioned on in Feb. of 1982.

The store will reopen under the management of C. R. (Bud) Calvert of the Augusta-based C. R. Calvert Co.
